Carolyn was recommended to us by Vanderbilt Medical Center over 10 years ago when I was a 4th year medical student making my own journey to Nashville. Carolyn was absolutely wonderful, and walked us through our first home purchase. We have loved that home for the last decade! With our new phase in life (moving to South Carolina). we immediately thought of Carolyn to sell our Nashville home. Once again, she was INCREDIBLE. Within just a few hours of our initial phone call, she was at our home to see it in-person and to make recommendations on best investment opportunities (e.g. landscaping) to improve our marketability. Carolyn made everything a breeze - literally SO easy! For example, a few years back we had our AC unit and hot water heater updated. Rather than asking us to invest our own time, she personally called those companies to get the full information regarding models/warranties for prospective buyers. Carolyn made everything a breeze. I literally put in no effort; and as a busy physician, this was paramount. I was able to go about my busy clinical workday knowing that she was handing everything. In contrast, this transition to South Carolina was not as smooth. My husband and I had only Carolyn as a barometer, as she was our first and only interaction with a real estate agent. We were extremely dissatisfied with our interactions with other agents in SC, even to the point of severing relationships. It was so difficult to find someone with the same work ethic and drive as Carolyn. Due to time constraints, we ended up settling, and we had a mediocre experience with buying our SC home. It was a night-and-day contrast to our relationship with Caorlyn. Every step of our buying process was challenging, as it required additional steps of either our own personal investment of time, or us requesting an action of the agent that he/she didn't volunteer to do (unlike Carolyn). In summary, Carolyn Akins is the cream of the crop when it comes to real estate. She genuinely invests in her clients and ensures that everything is promoting their interest. I am sorry to say that I didn't recognize how wonderful she was the first time around, as she was our first interaction with a real estate agent. It wasn't until after we dealt with other agents that we were able to recognize the value and prestige that she brings to her business.
